| Snickerdoodles
Makes: 6 dozen
½ c. butter or margarine, softened
½ c. shortening
1 ½ c. sugar
2 eggs
2 ¾ c. all-purpose flour
2 t. cream of tartar
1 t. baking soda
¼ t. salt
2 T. sugar
2 T. cinnamon
Heat oven to 400 degrees. In a large bowl, cream together
butter and sugar. Add eggs, mix- thoroughly. In a medium bowl,
mix together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and the
salt. Roll the dough into 1- inch balls. Mix the 2 T. sugar
and the 2 T. cinnamon together in a small bowl. Roll the dough
balls in the mixture and place 2 inches apart on an un-greased
baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Remove immediately
from the baking sheet.
