Spritz Cookies ( 4 Dozen Cookies)

1c. Butter Flavor Crisco Shortening

1/2 c. sugar

2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp. almond extract

3/4 tsp. vanilla extract

1 egg

3/4 tsp. salt

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease baking sheets.
2. Cream butter flavor Crisco Shortening, sugar together. Blend in egg, salt,vanilla and almond extract. Stir in flour until blended.
3. Place in cookie press. (To use a pastry bag fitted with 1/2" open star shaped tip-stir 2 tablespoons milk into dough.) Press onto baking sheets.
4. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 400 degrees for 5-7 minutes or until set, but not brown. Cool slightly. Remove to cooling racks.

Tip: For festive cookies sprinkle with colored sugar when the cookies come out of the oven.
