Angling in Alaska can be incredible. Salmon runs are strong along the coast of Alaska. It is here in Alaska waters that you will find some giant halibut . King salmon over 50 pounds are not at all uncommon and grayling and northern pike are easy to catch in many inland streams....not to mention some of the most incredible scenery on the continent.

Unfortunately, it's not perfect... most Alaska streams do not have the productivity of streams in warmer climates. The result is that some heavily fished streams do not quickly reproduce many large fish, especially in the Interior. Thankfully in many streams the large salmon make up for the lack of many other large fish.
