Sneaking in Exercise

How to sneak some exercise into your day

  1. March in place while brushing your teeth or blow drying your hair.
  2. Place weights next to your washer and dryer (or your computer, while waiting for downloads or pages to come up) do a few sets each time you put in or take out a load of laundry.
  3. Wear ankle weights while doing your chores.
  4. Squeeze your glutes as tight as you can at every red light until it turns green.
  5. Pop in a CD and dance with your kids or spouse.
  6. Get in the habit of taking the stairs.
  7. Park a little farther than normal and walk.
  8. Do knee lifts or swats while watching TV. Just even standing burns more calories per minutes than lying down.
